Volunteers of America Greater New York (VAGNY) provides the following.
Homeless services: emergency shelter, transitional and permanent supportive, affordable housing, intensive case management, education and employment services, life skills classes including budgeting and assistance with obtaining benefits and outreach services.
Veterans services: HUD-VASH permanent supportive housing, permanent supportive housing, outreach services, rental assistance, legal services, training and job placement, battle buddy bridge® programs as well as supportive services.
Older Adults: supportive housing, on-site case management, linkages to services in the community as needed and recreational activities.
Domestic Violence: emergency shelters, safe haven, comprehensive case management services, child care, recreational activities, mental health services, art therapy, healing groups and yoga among services.
Children with Developmental Delays: support groups, individual support, parenting classes and support. educational workshops, team and individual meetings, preparation for the transition to school age services, learning centers, rights/advocacy services.
Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities: life skills training on topics as problem solving, financial literacy, healthy relationships, educational and employment classes, linkage to healthcare services, advocacy, recreational activities, referrals.
HIV/AIDS: safe, affordable, permanent housing, counseling, case management and advocacy recreational activities as well as and supportive services.
