Transitional housing and supportive services, meals, holiday celebration, kosher food.
Case management : budgeting, obtain governmental benefits if eligible (food stamps, assistance with utility, Social Security and/or disability, etc), apply for insurance coverage including Medicaid, Medicare or private insurance through Affordable Care Act.
Medical, Dental, Eye Care and Prescription Medication : volunteer physicians provide medical treatment five days a week. Clients can make appointments to see internists,cardiologists, gynecologists and other specialists. X-rays and other tests are provided free of charge at area hospitals; dental care (x-rays, fillings, extractions, infection and periodontal disease treatment, fit dental prostetics);optometrists do complete vision exams, diagnosis and treatment of certain eye conditions, prescribe eyeglasses
Financial Assistance
Employment Counseling : skill assessment, resume writing,employment search ad placement, interview techniques, counseling, dental work to repair or replace unsightly teeth,medical care, computer lab, outfit, ongoing support to maintain employment.
Food Pantry : provides food, toilet paper, diapers and other basic items, low-fat and sugar-free products for particular dietary needs, fresh produce vouchers.
Jewish Spiritual and Life Cycle Event Services : support and guidance, festive meals on Sukkot, Shavuot, and Rosh Hashana, gatherings for Passover seders, a weekly pre-Shabbat Kiddush luncheon, and a weekly “Café ARK” dinner. They host weddings, baby-namings, circumcisions, classes lectures, communal meals, Jewish holiday celebration, counseling and spiritual guidance.
Mental Health Services : treatment, support, individual and group counseling, medication prescription.
The Intensive Day Program was created for individuals suffering from chronic mental illness and provides psychotherapy, observation to take medication, pay bills, keep medical appointments, oversee housing situations, therapeutic classes, communal meals, outings, holiday celebrations. Program is opened for all, regardless of financial need.
Legal Aid : eviction, foreclosure, bankruptcy, debt collection, family law, wills, powers of attorney, employment law, immigration, Social Security disability.
